Cougar Biotechnology Announces CB7630 Phase I data to be presented at National Cancer Research Institute Conference
Los Angeles, CA, September 27, 2006 - Cougar Biotechnology, Inc, a publicly held biotechnology company, today announced that Phase I data on the Company’s prostate cancer drug CB7630 (abiraterone acetate) will be presented at National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) Cancer Conference that will take place October 8-11, 2006 in Birmingham, UK. The presentation, which will take place during the plenary session on October 8th, is entitled "Inhibition of androgen synthesis by an oral, irreversible, inhibitor of CYP450c17 appears safe and results in a high, durable, response rate in castration refractory prostate cancer (CRPC) patients" and will be presented by Dr. Johann S. deBono, MSc, PhD, MD, FRCP from the Institute of Cancer Research and Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton, UK.
